1987 Chevy SWB, parts or whole

I have decided I need to let my 87 SWB parts truck go. I am putting this in here as parts, but it is a really nice truck; almost too nice to part out. I bought this truck to finish my CCSB project, but have realized it isn't going to happen, for a few reasons. The main one is that I have traded my dually.

Anyhow, the good:
Truck is a two owner truck, the guy I bought it from's family had owned it since 1991. Very straight, rust free Texas truck. The paint is weak, but it is black with a nice charcoal interior. Original dual tank truck (bed has two fuel doors), driprails have been shaved, emblem holes filled, etc. The truck is lowered ~5/6, and the front end was rebuilt about 10K ago, with polyurethane bushings. I say ~ 5/6 bcause it is hard to tell as it sits. Spindles, springs, and flip kit. It also has a fairly new 3" flowmaster exhaust as well.

...and, the bad (depending on how you look at it)- the truck has no engine, trans, fuel tanks, or most of the engine wiring harness. Back glass is gone as well.

This is a perfect truck to do an LS swap on. That thought has crossed my mind as well, but I don't have room for another project. You could also get it going in a weekend with a cheap CL (or equivalent) Suburban donor.

I would like to sell it as it sits for $2000, but have entertained parting it out, if the interest is there. I would also sell it less interior for $1600.

Since this is the parts board, I will put prices out there for the larger stuff.

Clean dual tank short bed- $500

Complete, rust free cab (w/ clean Texas title and bill of sale)
with doors and all wiring, etc (basically unbolted and set off, less interior trim) $500
bare cab- $300

rolling frame with all suspension and drop components $800

hood (I have two) $50

fenders (I have two lefts, one right) $50 each

tight tilt auto shift column $100

aftermarket Dino steering wheel $50

complete charcoal interior $500 (later model matching seat, all plastic, seat belts, headliner, carpet, door panels etc. is in nice shape. dash pad, not so much.)

I realize it is hard to get an idea of all of this without pictures, so I will get some up Monday. The truck is at work, and I'm not. I would really like to sell it as a whole, and will keep it that way to see what interest is. I will not part it out unil there is interest in the bigger parts (cab, bed, etc.). If that's the case, then there will most likely be a lot of smaller parts for sale as well. I may also keep the interior for my truck, as it is really nice. the larger stuff would have to be pickup only, but I may be able to ship smaller parts.

last ones. I didn't see a model number on the steering wheel, so I took a picture. I also have the plastic over the top and back window because there is no glass in it.

Re: 1987 Chevy SWB, parts or whole

I am really hoping this sells complete. I will probably let it ride for another week or so, then look at parting it out. All prices will be + shipping (or preferrably pickup).

Re: 1987 Chevy SWB, parts or whole

Life is getting in the way a little bit. I haven't had a ton of interest in it whole, so I may pull it apart in a few weeks, and can get pictures then. I am also taking stock of my new '74, to see what I need to keep for it, too. My daughter's birthday is this weekend, so that's out. Maybe in the next couple of weeks.

Is that a sport bumper I spy in the back? If so when you get around to parting it I would like a quote on it complete with brackets and splash guards.

I'd be interested in the gauge bezel if you part it.
