I have a what is it.
Changing my heater core on a 72 c10 with AC. Opened the box and found this. Does any one know where this goes and what its for. It was just laying there. Thanks.

i saw your post and went out to check an a/c housing that we have, i am no expert in any way and cannot give this a name but it is a flap, or door that goes in the bottom of the inside part of the a/c housing, maybe to put heat and air to floor, but anyway i know someone will be able to give it a name..

I did a disassembly on my AC unit, but nothing fell out that I can recall. I'll try to take a look at the pile 'o parts and see if it is identifiable.

Thanks for the answer. Funny thing is. I just filled that hole with JB weld. I thought someone had cut that hole. Goes to show you ask then fix I guess.

I just put some duct tape over that hole. Huh. The first time in a while that I've used duct tape on a duct. lol. The passenger doesn't need heat on their feet anyways. Throw some fuzzy slippers in the cab and you'll be good to go.
