Is this a good deal on Rallys???
I have an oppurtunity to buy 4 Rally wheels with almost brand new 31X10.50/15 Sidewinder Mud Terrains. The tires have about 2,000 miles on them, and the Rally's are supposed to be in Excellant Condition. They are 15X8, 6 Lug, and have newer trim rings (1 yr old). The wheels came with a 79 Chevy Pickup he just bought, and was told by the seller that they were original. The cost would be $300 for everything. Is this good??? The problem is: My 72 has 5 Lug wheels! Can I turn around and sell these wheels? How much? Anyone interested???
Thanks, Amstaff |

If I were to buy the wheels/tires, I would take the tires and install them on my 72... I am wondering if I would be able to sell the Rallys and for how much.

Yeah around here they go for, if your lucky, about $100 for a real good set, and about $50 for a decent set.

Around here 6 lug rally's go for $200 without rings, caps, tires. With caps and rings $250 and up. I used to have them on my 67 before resto and I had around $100 in them by getting them separately (one at a time). I used 92 centers and got some cheap aftermarket rings at a swapmeet. So I had $150 total. They have been bringing $200 a set for long time actually here. So with rings, caps, good tires I would say $300 isn't too bad of a deal if its all what you want.

Keep looking and you will find the wheels you are looking for.
The 6 lugs are easier to find and less desireable. A perfect set of the 6 lug ralleys with all the correct hardware might on a good day bring $200. I have seen nice sets like this at swap meets with no takers.
