reproduction fender

Is there any issues with using reproduction inner fenders or exterior fenders?

Re: reproduction fender

Haven't used them yet, so I can't speak to fitment issues .... but the the $125 shipping charge does come to mind.

Re: reproduction fender

I've tried them ALL! China parts are junk. Don't fit right and don't line up right. On the 67-68 they won't line up with the grille properly. (Front Panel). fIND GOOD USED ONES. Ebay! Goodmark metal especially sucks! They used to be good. Every piece I bought from them was never used. I sold all the parts. What a waste of money

Re: reproduction fender

I have built trucks all my life and when I first started the crash parts were junk but times have changed and so have the parts. The Biggest problem today is finding a real body man that can insatall a aftermarket or GM Fender,Hood or ECT.

Re: reproduction fender

I bought my 68 fenders from Tri-Plus. They fit really well and the body lines are all even. I did have to re-align my hood after installing the second, drivers side, and replaced the hood hinge. Everything lines up real well.

I am very happy with the quality. Plus I didn't have to deal with dent/ rust removal. I just scuffed with 220 grit sandpaper and primed.

First pic, old fender. Second and third pics are repop fender. Fourth pic shows fittment.
