The CST thing?

I read that thread yesterday about CST. I purchased a 69 without the
front clip. The SPiD calls out a Z81 Camper Nameplate. Was that plate
on the front fender and where do I get a replacement.

Re: The CST thing?

Yes,it went in place of the trim level badge on the fender (C/20,Custom/10,or CST/10).You'll have to watch the parts board for a set. They aren't reproduced.

Re: The CST thing?

Thanks special K, that truck is next in line after a 67 just starting to look
for parts. After I read that CST thread I looked at the glove box and it
is a camper special with wiring, extra battery box and CST package. It has
big wide rims on the rear I guess they must have been stock as well.
To think I almost parted this truck a year ago....
I will watch the swap meets as well for that side trim....Cascadeheavychevy

Re: The CST thing?

it should say custom camper. Camper special was a ford in 69.
The custom camper badge for 69 was a one year only badge if memory serves.

Re: The CST thing?

My '71 had them and my '70 had the CustomCamper/30 ones.I had a '69 CustomCamper/10 (K10),maybe that was '69 only.I can't say I've ever seen another.
Is your truck a 20? The name plate was an option separate from the Custom Camper package.I believe, but not certain, that if the name plate wasn't optioned the truck would have the trim level plate on the fender and the script on the door.My '71 was actually a Cheyenne but had the Custom Camper name plate. It had all the Cheyenne trim and it was listed on the spid (as CST,but we know that drill). In '71 there was no emblem on the glove box,so no Cheyenne emblem.I had a '72 Cheyenne Super Custom Camper that didn't have the name plate option. It had the Cheyenne super badges on the fenders and the custom Camper script on the door.My '70 had the name plate option on the fender and was a CST.It had the CST emblem on the glovebox door.

Re: The CST thing?

Alright Clinebarger that's what I needed to see! Now I knew I had seen that
emblem before somewhere. So I guess this is only one year for 69 only? If
so, in response to the first CST post, that makes the emblem rare not the
truck. James
