Starter and alternator wiring
On the starter there is 1 big conector and 2 small ones. What small one do I put the wire? Or do it matter?
And the alternator plug can go in both ways what is the right way to plug it in? Stock wiring for a 84 c10 305 th350 Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Starter and alternator wiring
One should be marked R and S.
S is for start and the R is for the ignition(you only need this if you got the old points system don not use on HEI). We need to see what type of alternaot you got. |

Re: Starter and alternator wiring
Connect the starter wire to the "S" terminal it's the one closer to the block.
The alt should be a 12SI and the terminals should be labeled 1 and 2 # 1 should have switched ignition through a charge light or resistor and terminal 2 should have full battery power.
