Heater blower blew and now nothing works
My 79 C10 just couldn't be happy with that new trans last week. The heater blower blew yesterday and nothing works. No lights, no engine turn over, nothing. The wires from the heater fan were cooked. I guess there was a problem of metal to wire, after I replaced the old fan back. Now I have a new battery and still no power, nothing. All the fuses look good, the resistor by the blower doesn't look good. I thought I might replace the ignition coil. I just can't imagine that the blower line is hijacking my hole electric system. Any ideas.... Thanks for your help!

Re: Heater blower blew and now nothing works
My guess is a fusable link. Follow your output cable till you locate a plastic "bump" and verify voltage from there.

X2 More than likely your wiring killed your fan your fan didn't kill your wiring. Check your fusable links. Also try and track down where you problem is, swapping in a new link will just cause it to blow again if you don't find your problem.

Re: Heater blower blew and now nothing works
One of the fusable link wires going to the starter solenoid was a mess. I dropped the starter today, and tomorrow I will test the solenoid and starter. I will build up some more wires for the fusable links and put the starter back in place. I also will replace the heater fan wires and replace the fan as well. Just in time for some cold weather. Thanks for your help and guidance.
