Paint Inside Cowls and under dash
Like everyone else, my inside cowls and under dash is rusty. I plan on sealing up my outside air vents so this area should not get wet again. What have you used to paint these surfaces to make sure that they do not continue to rust. I thought about POR 15 but it seems like overkill because it will most likely never see water again and no wear. Tell me your opinions please.

Re: Paint Inside Cowls and under dash
Depending on the level of rust would be the deciding factor. Light surface rust,Rustleum would be fine but the POR 15 is watery so it would seal and find the voids unable to reach.

Re: Paint Inside Cowls and under dash
por15 is a system that includes a rust converter that stops the existing rust from spreading. It is what I used on interior rusted areas. I then painted over it with rusteoleum oil based white, brush applied. it realy brightens up the under dash area for wiring, and other installation stuff.
