Broken odometer gear?
I'm pretty sure that I already know the answer,.... but does anyone reproduce these? Or should I head to a junkyard and start looking for a used one. I know that you can send in your instrument cluster for repair, but, eventually I'm just gonna go with different gauges anyway and don't want to spend a small fortune just to know how many miles I've driven. Thanks.

Re: Broken odometer gear?
GM speedos used the same internal parts for quite a long time. I think you would come out ahead money-wise if you get a junk speedo and rob it for parts.

Re: Broken odometer gear?
Look in your local Yellow Pages for a speedometer repair shop . If there is one , they may be able to help you . If not , surely one can be found online .

Re: Broken odometer gear?
Well, went to pick and pull and pulled the cluster out of a '66. Broken in the same place. Must be a pretty common problem. Since there isn't a speedo shop close and I really didn't find anything even close online, I just put mine back in. Thanks for the advice, though.

Re: Broken odometer gear?
Derail you might want to check other GM vehicles of the same era, they used a lot of the same parts, buick pontiac, olds, cadillac...
