Lower and Upper Control Arms

Does any one know a company that makes a stock 71-72 control arms that has bushings in the control arms rather than the stock type control arms? Or can I use other control arms from later model and keep the stock cross member for my 71? I dont want these lowered control arms that you can find everywheres. I like my stock height, just want a better ride.

Re: Lower and Upper Control Arms

I am sure someone will chime in with more better info, but you can use upper and lower CA's from 73-87 1/2 ton, they have the shafts you are looking for, you will need new ball joints obviously and outer tie rod ends and that should do it.

LMC has them, a GM dealer might also. Are you going to lower the front any?

Yes.
The 73-87 lower balljoint is the same as your 71-72 balljoint.
You will need to change out the upper balljoint because the 73-87 style is different from your 71-72 style.

Yes you can use the 71-72 spindle with the 73-87 control arms.
