Re: How hard is it to change oil sending unit?
It is a simple job that takes very little time. Here is something funny, I bought a oilsender socket [not needed on this app] and it said "do not use while engine is running" Jim

Re: How hard is it to change oil sending unit?
I have the same job to do on my truck tomorrow, but I have a big block and it looks pretty darn tight back there. I had the distributor cap off last weekend working on the timing curve and tried to get my hand down in there to the oil sending unit with no success. My plan for tomorrow is to pull the distributor first thing and hopefully that will give good access.

Re: How hard is it to change oil sending unit?
This was one of the first things I had to do when I got the C-30. As mentioned, it is a tight area to work in but doable.
My reason was not a leak but because the motor had a sending unit for an oil light and not the gauge and my gauge obviously wasn't working. Was just another one of those "discovery channel" moments that come with buying a used vehicle. Gauge has worked fine ever since though. Yet I did decide to add a touch longer extension pipe though that made it a little easier to install. It is buried back there. Mark
