Thorley makes some long tubes or if you are ok with block huggers the hookers are a good fit. I may know where a set of ceramic coated hookers are cheap if you go that route.

Re: Need help finding exhaust headers will fit LSI in C10
I got my 5.3 from a guy who was going to put it in a S10. he had already purchased Sanderson headers for it. when I got it home and tried it in my C10 I was pleasantly surprised that it fit almost perfectly, just had to take a little of the corner of the engine mounts. might be a option for you.

I have a set of ceramic coated Hooker LS1 headers and they are off-center towards the rear, would probably fit around the mounts. They were "scratch and dent" direct from Hooker on Ebay for about $200 and I couldn't find anything wrong with them.

You may not belive me, but get a set of shorty headers from a 5.0 mustang. You have to cut the flange off where they bolt to the head. Purchase some new flanges fron GM for the 5.3. Weld them on and there you go. Hac a buddy put them on a 67 with 5.3. I said he was crazy, but they worked great. Said he found out about it on the net somewhere. Might search for 5.0 headers on 5.3 or something like that.

Doug Thorley Tri Y headers for LS engine in the 67-72 trucks. Great fit, great set of headers. And price is good for the quality you get. You can still get for less than $500 delivered.
Heres mine on 68 C20 with 5.3. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() you'll need touse different plug wires and modify oil dipstick or use lokar dipstick. ![]() |

You can see how I modded the oil dipstick kinda here. The plug wires were ordered at AutoZone.
![]() ![]() Headers fit great with no interference using 6 cyl stands in back frame holes. Put the engine back good this way. Good luck. |

I have the headers that came with the engine off of a Trans Am (do not fit). so I can cut off the flanges-ThankYou!!
