Re: Need advice
Your best bang for your buck is to purchase used sheet metal as that is what I did. I would recommend you become a member and post a WTB (Want to buy) as you should pay less for good used sheet metal than new. Just a thought. As far as new metal...maybe check some of the board vendors. Good luck.

Re: Need advice
What he's saying is the replacement doors and fenders aren't that great. If you can find good original parts you'd be better off.
LMC is a good catalog to look in to find parts, but their parts (especially sheetmetal) aren't the best. For sheetmetal look for Triplus or Goodmark branded parts if you do go aftermarket... ...but again...you can find good original doors and fenders for the same or as less than the reproductions...or perfect originals for slightly more but you'll be ahead in the end...

Re: Need advice
I would find me some nice used body panels..The few aftermarket panels I have used, I had to beat on them quite a bit to get the body lines where I wanted them. Your better off using original stuff.

Re: Need advice
ok thanks for the advice. I have alot of doors, fenders, hoods, etc. theres just so much work involved getting all the rust out of the nooks and crannys especially on the hoods where theres limited access. I live on the coast of oregon so rust is a major problem and spreads fast. Alot of my stuff is str8 im just worried about getting ALL the rust takin out.:/ Thanks zach
