Lokar makes a cable for ls engines with cable actuated throttle bodies.

You can order their standard cable, which has a black outer casing instead of the braided exterior. I would give them a call to ensure you get the correct cable you're looking for.

I used the stock ls truck throttle cable. Made a bracket (piece of flat and a 3/8?washer) bolted to the back fuel rail bolt. Then welded a washer to my stock 67 pedal linkage. Cut a slot in both washers for the cabe to slide through then the throttle cale clipped right in.

a stock 2000 chevy truck throttle cable with a 5.3 is a direct fit for a 72 chevy truck.
