Hidden Hitch w/ Boyd Rear tank

Does anyone have a picture or info on installing a hidden hitch with a Dave Boyd rear mounted fuel tank? I bought a Boyd tank and am ready to install but also want to install a hidden hitch. Looking for ideas.

Any pictures of any rear mounted tank and hidden hitch?

Where are you buying the hidden hitch from ? I cant find one on the east side of the country ,trying to save on shipping . I cant answer your question as my tank is still in the cab .

I saw in one of their GB's someone asked that and Dave said IDK, so here is what I say. Since the tank bolts to the bottom of the frame and doesnt have mounting holes(I think), I would mount the tank and then put the hitch up there and drill the holes, you would probably need to get longer bolts and it might be a challenge to tighten the bolts once it is all on but I bet it can be done no problem.

I also heard that you can put the tank on the top of the bottom part of the frame rail but the vent might interfere with the bed.

I agree... however my concern is sandwiching the aluminum flange for the tank in between the steel frame and the steel hitch. I just want to make sure the soft aluminum doesn't deform over time... especially with a load being applied to the hitch.

I think the flanges for the tank are made out of some pretty thick stuff, I would call Dave and ask him his .02 on that and worse case I would see about putting the tank on the inside of the rail.
