Cab Questions: Non-A/C v. A/C
I have an A/C cab that is in amazing condition, and want to swap it on to my NON A/C truck. Since I do not have the heater box ect. off of my truck right now, my main question is: How similar are the cut-outs in the two cabs? Can I simply patch off some holes from the A/C cab and bolt up a Non A/C box to it?
Any info would be appreciated. As far as the vents in the A/C cab, I will probably patch them or utilize them rather than cut the complete dash board out. Thanks.

Are you intending to have factory AC? Do you have the "stuff" you need to create the system?
My situation is this: My '69 air cab is toast, as far as the firewall is concerned...and it is serious. The rest is okay. So, I was able to pick up a nice '68 non-air cab. I don't want to have factory air because it takes up so much space under the hood. So, what's your plan?

I misread your intention. You want to keep a non-air cab, so I see what you mean. The vents on the air cab, in my opinion, would work for sending some warmed air you direction, if you can create the distribution plenum to route it. Otherwise, some patch pieces could be cut from the non-air cab dash to fill in the holes.

Yeah, those are both good ideas. I was thinking about making them vents as well, but they would be relatively close to the kick panel vents... so probably a lot of work for not much effect.
