Vintage Air front runner?

For those of you that are using the Vintage Air front runner on your sbc with power steering box, do you use the original hoses? (67-72) I have to modify the inner fender that I made for my project. I haven't bought the front runner yet and don't have any power hoses either. I want to purchase the hoses so I can do the work to my inner fender but want to make sure I'm buying the proper hoses.

Re: Vintage Air front runner?

I put this on my SBC but I also installed a rack and pinion at the same time. I had a nice braided stainless hose made at one if the local hose supply shops. It cost me about $20 I think that was the good guy price.

Beware the bolts on this they used metric and ASE not a good call IMO after cross threading them (starting them by hand) I tossed them and went to Ace and bought all ASE bolts.

Re: Vintage Air front runner?

I'll be using a stock steering box and would like know if I would be using the stock hose to attach to the steering pump that Vintage supplies or if I get the stock hoses can they be modified if need be to fit the pump.
