Mike's 66 swb dropmember build
I got this truck a couple of years ago and have been driving it as much as I can. I just received my porterbuilt front and rear dropmember kit and I am ready to start tearing it down. Plans are to reuse the ZZ4 crate engine, turbo 350 and the 411 rear that came with the truck. I also ordered a set of 22" Coys that should be here the first week of January. The last 2 pics were taken yesterday, I forgot to set the date on my camera. Time to get to work!

Re: Mike's 66 swb dropmember build
I removed the dog house this morning. I'm going to try to store some these parts in the basement. I can see I'm going to run out of room in a hurry.

Wait! Hold on! Put away that wrench!.....
By looking at your opening pics, I think your build is already done.

Re: Mike's 66 swb dropmember build
Thanks for the encouragement guy's. Dino, I only hope my truck turns out half as cool as some of your stuff. I've been wanting to redo this truck for a while. The paint is a 20 footer, it looks a lot better in the pics than it really is. Not sure if I'm going to keep it this color or not. My wife wants me to paint it green.

Re: Mike's 66 swb dropmember build
What are you doing for brakes?
Can't wait to see this come together.

Re: Mike's 66 swb dropmember build
Jimmydean, funny you should ask about brakes. Got my order from CPP today! Four wheel disks. I had the calipers powder coated red. I think they look pretty cool. I hope to get the cab and bed off this weekend.

Re: Mike's 66 swb dropmember build
Had my grandkids helping today. We pushed the truck outside to turn it around so I could get under my lift to pull the bed and cab off. That one pic is the drivers side floorboard. This is why I'm redoing the truck, there's alot of poor body work that needs to be fixed. I'm finally down to the frame so I can start tearing that apart. I'll be glad when I can start putting some of the new parts on.
