Inline 6 4bbl throttle configuration
Hello all, I'm getting ready to install a Megasquirt TBI system on my '67 250, and have run into a snag. I'm using an Offenhauser 4bbl intake which orients the TBI sideways thus making the throttle cable 'no worky'. I know these intakes have been used for years for carbs, so what's the common way to get this resolved?
I picked up a bellcrank used for dual 4's on an 8 cyl manifold, but without making up a new bracket and plate, there's no place to mount it. Any pics will also be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Shawn Last edited by Zeke's Garage; 12-07-2010 at 10:46 AM. |

Re: Inline 6 4bbl throttle configuration
Here's mine with 350 Holley and bellcrank. Stock rod linkage. Not a cable.
On my 65 but 67 should be the same. |

Thanks for that Geezer... looks like I'll need to build a bracket off of the adapter plate that the throttle body mounts to for the bellcrank.

Re: Inline 6 4bbl throttle configuration
A throttle cable out of a Chevy van is long enough to wrap all the way around the carb/TBI and pull from the correct angle. Mine runs out of the firewall , between the back of the carb and valvecover , then loops around to a clamp on the fender well then to my 4bbl.
