Removing the sun visor from the arm

Is there an easy way to remove the visor from the arm to replace it with a good arm off of an extra visor that I have? Can it be done without damaging it or can it be done ? thanks

All I did to remove mine was hold on to the rod and move the visor part back and forth until it pulled off. Do yours have any type of glue on them? They should come off if they aren't glued.

I did the same thing with my 67. I didn't have any problems with installing the new visors. You just have to move them back and forth and apply pressure to get it to go on. And Yeah, it was just as hard to put on as the one I took off.

Probably easier if the rod is still screwed to the cab.....

Re: Removing the sun visor from the arm

Mine was ridiculous to get on/off. I used some graphite lube which helped a little, but I still had to twist it back and forth for what seemed like forever! I heard dielectric grease helps lube the rods up as well. Good luck!

Did you have any issues installing it on a new arm? Was it as tight as the old one when you replaced it?
