1977 c10 rear drop how much to lower
I've lowered the front 5''. I'd like to have a slight rake to the front and Im not sure how much to lower back. Also when a post says 3/5 lowered is the 3 front or rear. And why do they lower 2'' more on one side. Sorry if it's a stupid question .

Re: 1977 c10 rear drop how much to lower
The stock difference from front to rear is roughly 2 inches. Most go with the extra 2" in back to get the truck to sit level. If you plan to keep a stock rake, then you would want to go 5" in the rear. A more aggresive rake would rewuire less in the rear.

Sounds like Im going 5 in rear sometimes flat or level rocker makes the rear of the truck look like its low and a full tank of gas don't help. Thanks for the info.

Do you plan to run the same height front & rear tires? If so 5/5 sounds like what you need. If you stagger the tire height (w/taller rears), you might want a 5/7 drop (5= front drop; the 7 = rear drop).

Re: 1977 c10 rear drop how much to lower
A flip-kit alone doesn't need a c-notch unless your loading up the bed w/some moderate to serious weight. Add some shackles to that flip-kit, c-sections are definitely needed (even empty).
