I don't know what they are called.
They are flat steel and mount in the engine compartment with 4 bolts.
The paint shop lost them and I can't figure out where to buy
or what they are called exactly.
I need to get windshield rubber also for a 1972 with the stainless trim
Lmc was too small and windshield shop broke my original windshield and then got some other brand if I remember right was Precision, too big, wavy on the inside and cut up.
Is Steele the brand to order?
Also, door rubber, has anyone tried Steele's?

Are you talking about the inner panel brace that stiffens the inner panel around the steering Column? If so there is only one on the drivers side.

I have always used Precision brand rubber seals and have had no problems with them. Are you aware that there are two different seals for the windshields and rear windows with trim? It depends on which stainless trim you have, 3/8" or 5/8" lip. If you have the wrong seal for the trim you have it will not work.

I went for a couple of months with a windshield rubber problem. I thought I'd never get it in. The LMC rubber didn't even come close (As with almost of their junk).
I'm not sure if you are trying to install the windshield yourself but I was willing to pay just about anything to anyone that could do the job. I finally got a guy that could do it. He supplied a Sofseal rubber and it finally went in.
