buying tires
i have a 69 C-10 thats my daily driver,it has a set of firehawk indy 500s that are 3 years old and fairly worn out,i have long a dirt driveway and the truck has been taken back in the woods a few times and its taken a toll on the Indy 500s
1,im definately not looking to lift a 2wd,but i was wondering if 30s (think the ratio it 255,70,r15 or 265,75,r15) would fit under it without any scrubbing and 2,what tires would anyone recommend? im looking at the General grabbers or some Maxxis tires |

Re: buying tires
Dawg, I have run 31x10.50 R15 for years on a 68 C-10 stock height, with no rubbing. Often it was loaded and on uneven terrain. But no rubbing. My tires actually measure 32 inches in dia. I do have 71 disc in front.

Re: buying tires
thanks for all the info, not looking for anything too big n nasty, nothing bigger than a 31 (rolled one against the truck just for laughs and it looked a lil bit tacky like it needed a lift badly) think ive decided on a set of maxxis marauders. thanks again for the help

Re: buying tires
I started with 31s on my 71 lwb, no issues stock height and it looked just fine, springs were not sagged out and the gap looked good. I was able to run 33x12.5s on 15x8s without any major rubbing under normal driving conditions. I have since lifted it though and just this past weekend tossed on some 35s from my Blazer... looks pretty sweet.. but think im going to go back to the 33s.
