Flashed's Man Cave

I recently sold a '72 Dazed and Confused diecast to John (aka Flashed) and he wanted me to help him post a few pics of his man cave.

And what a man cave it is...

Re: Flashed's Man Cave

Nate ,thanks for posting those pics for me .As you can see I collect way too much stuff ,cars included .There is a red 81 Trans Am under that tarp (my wifes) .The pedal cars I dont know anything about except the fire truck which I bought new for my great nephew when he was 2 years old ,he loved playing with it ,his little brother had no interest in it so I hung it up out of the way.The others I bought at garage sales as I did the El Camino SS .The Chevelle convertible is my wifes favorite car and we drive it about 15000 miles per year .The 68 malibu and the 55 Bel Air are looking for a new home as I have too many toys to work on and not enough time to drive them all. My wife says Im a big kid and she hopes I never grow up and I dont think she has to worry about that as Im 48 years old .And yes Im a lucky man to have a wife that encourages me to keep on as I am.She loves my toys as much as I do ,she even bought me the restored gas pump at an estate sale this past summer .My shop is very cluttered but I have no more room to spread out unless I sell 2 cars someday or build another building.

Any time buddy.

I'm definitely envious of your collection of small and large scale automobiles.

I sold the 68 Malibu to free up some cash to start on my truck soon. I still would like to sell the 55 Bel Air someday to free up some more space .

Re: Flashed's Man Cave

All my stuff isnt in one building ,the pedal cars are hanging in my basement ,the gas pump is in our home office ,some is in my unfinished upstairs in the house .I have way too much stuff and still bring more home all the time. Its a disease that I cant stop collecting.

Re: Flashed's Man Cave

I now have 4 -19 and 20 year old foster boys that like to hang out in my man cave and they are amazed at my toy collection .They have been allowed to pick any one toy they want and they had a hard time picking one .Im trying to teach them to maintain their own cars ,change oil, check fluid levels ,just general maintenance type things and have really enjoyed my time with them. 2 of them even volunteered to go cruisin in the Malibu convertible the other day.My cave is more fun now with someone other than my wife to share it with.

Re: Flashed's Man Cave

Sometimes I think the boys are teaching me more than Im teaching them .Im not sure what language they speak sometimes as they lose me sometimes but its all fun. We are losing one of our boys this week as he is being adopted to a permanent family but hopefully he will still come by to see us .
