4x4 rally wheels

I have an 01 chevy and was thinking about going with 16x8 6 lug rallys on it. where can i find these wheels? do they even make them? i want an 8 inch wide wheel with a factory look do you guys think it would look good? or do any of you have rallys on your 99 and newer trucks? i was also thinking painting them black instead of the silver color?

im looking for this look but with a 16 inch wheel so it will clear my brakes and i can keep me tires.....found the pic on this site...but with this wheel

I have a set off of 88-97 half tons I'm trying to get rid of. I'm not sure if they are 8" wide though.

I know you can get the Vette rallyes in 8 x 16.I'm not sure about the truck style.They may need to be custom.I think they'd look good.I had the factory rallyes powder coated gloss black on my '90 Blazer when I bought it.Looked real good!See if Wheel Vintiques makes a 16".If not,try Stockton Wheel or Pete Paulsen Wheels.There may be a local shop to handle it for you,too.

ya they need to be 8 inches wide or i would just keep the wheels i have. ive priced them at stockton wheel and they want $140 a wheel for them plus 120 for rings and 120 for caps.....for those prices i could buy a nice set of chrome wheels but don't really want to go that route.

i think stockton wheel or wheel vintiques has them or can build them for you

Suggestions for vendors and ideas like that are fine, but don't turn this into a WTB post by making offers to sell parts.
It started fine, but that will get this thread locked or removed entirely..

You can get nice used trim rings and centers for way cheaper.Going with powder coated steel wheels may be less bling but that doesn't always mean cheaper.It's more a matter of getting what I want than trying to save money.There are mass produced chrome wheels.But,custom made powder coated steel wheels will really stand out to those who look at the truck and not the bling.

I took black nugget wheels (black center/chrome rim) off my '72 Cheyenne Super back in K/20 1990.The nuggets were probably about $75 each,pretty much the same cost as all chrome.I bought 9.75" Kelsey-Hayes steelies for $75 each,powder coated white for $25 each,and paid $30 each for n.o.s. hubcaps.That's $520 compared to $300 for the chrome wheels.But,I had a look no one else had and that truck stood out in the crowd.also,that's a classic look that never goes out of style,like rallyes.I think your newer truck will look classy with 8 x 16 rallyes.There's a member here from Sweden that took a set of 88-98 steelies and had them widened to 8",then painted body color (grapefruit) on his '72 C/20.He gets more thumbs up for those wheels than any billet wheels the masses are running these days.To me,that's priceless.I ran the black rallyes on my '90 Blazer w/o the trim rings.Then,I took the centers and stripped the argent silver paint off the flange around the lugs.It's shiny chrome under there and changes the whole look of those centers (in a subtle way).This is the only picture I have:

Ya i'm on really tight budget so new and custom are really out of the question. Was hopping to find something used or taken off some other vehicle but i haven't had any luck finding them. any suggestions? thanks James
