Sheetmetal test fit for inspiration!
Bolted on some of the sheetmetal that I plan on using to see how it was going to look. Thought I'd share some pics because I like threads with pics

Re: Sheetmetal test fit for inspiration!
Actually the best time to align the panels is the point he is at now! so you can make the gaps right by whatever means necessary-welding onto edges or bending /tweeking corners and hinges. I'm at that stage as well. It's easier to do now then after the pretty is on! when they were built close was good enough!

Re: Sheetmetal test fit for inspiration!
lookin good...I'm partial to the '67-'68 Chevy front end.
May I say one thing w/o offending you? I don't know how you came upon the air filter on your truck....but if nobody has told you, you might want to replace it? That design filter.....which has been built for many years regardless...tends to be a bit of a firestarter. One good backfire...or two.... and that foam saturates with gas...and then a little spark and it will light right up! Maybe thats why marine "air cleaners" use a bunch of round metal plates stacked together as a filter...instead of running an automotive style "air filter" that has foam or paper...csince you sure don't want a fire on a boat. Don't feel bad tho...I didn't know abouth them either and bought a '72 C10 that had one on it. A buddy of mine saw it and told me about them, and suggested I replace it.

Re: Sheetmetal test fit for inspiration!
With the air filter whats the worse that can happen. I always say that to people just to see there response . The air filter looks cool though...
