Mine is identical to yours, except change all colors to green. I don't have a picture of it though.

To the OP, this one could be the twin to your truck. This was from a parts truck that I looked at a while back.

Re: Who has the SPID with the LEAST amount of options?
When you think about all SPIDS should have at least 3 listed. The model #, the paint cloor, and the interior color aren't really options but more like descriptions, so, those listed below really have only one option. The winner should be someone with "O" options listed with only the 3 descriptions listed.

Re: Who has the SPID with the LEAST amount of options?
Whats the standard bumper if painted is an option?
It seems this thread is mostly SWB trucks. I'd have figured more longboxes would be base models bought just to use on the farm. Maybe the LWB base models were more plentiful at one time but more of the SWB's were saved by collectors.

People who shorten long wheel base trucks or people who search high and low for a nice, unmolested SWB truck don't want a truck. They want a cool looking muscle car that costs less than a muscle car from this era. The GM marketing guys who sold these things new are probably spinning over in their graves when they find out what folks today are paying for a useless (SWB) pickup today.

Re: Who has the SPID with the LEAST amount of options?
mrein3-Your exactly correct....Thats why I'm building a 70 GMC shortbed stepside.....402/TH400, a/c, tilt, tach, buckets etc. to replicate a factory Hot Rod Pickup.

The next time I need to move a bed or couch or some heavy furniture I guess I will have to borrow someone’s LWB truck and just use my SWB trucks for drag racing.

Where I come from (Southeast Missouri/Northern Arkansas) people bought short wheel base pickups for farming, primarily for pulling trailers (cotton trailers). The eight or ten shortbox pickups me and my family have owned through the years are a holdover of that pattern. My 87 is still in use today, pulling trailers and doing whatever I ask it to do. I would never characterize it as "useless"; more like an extension of my right arm! All the GM Truck Marketing guys I know are laughing all the way to the bank. K

Re: Who has the SPID with the LEAST amount of options?
I have a 68 GMC 1500, it was given to me by the original owners daughter who inherited it when he died, only has 66k on it. When I went to look at the SPID I was shocked to see that there was no one on the back of the glove box door ? I did find the build sheet under the seat. M17 3-speed fully synchronized. R51 WSW Tires, Two-Tone Paint.

Re: Who has the SPID with the LEAST amount of options?
They'd sell a truck without a bumper? Oh, maybe they figured you'd put your own step or heavy duty one on. That'd never fly with the regulations these days. You can't even legally drive a vehicle any distance in MN without a bumper.

Re: Who has the SPID with the LEAST amount of options?
Most that were ordered without a bumper, got a dealer installed bumper, usually with the dealers name on it. .At least that's the way it was in Texas.
