Re: "RARE" longhorn edition door. CL find

Adam... LMAO!!!
You know, the drivers door on my Longhorn sags... I thought the rust was causing the cab to lose it's 'square'... now i know it's just the added weight of the door!

Funny thing is, if he just advertised it as a 67 - 72 door, then more people would be interested. If the Longhorn was as rare as he thinks it is, and he says it is a specific longhorn part, then he is limiting his potential buyers.
Thats why at a swap meet, no matter what you have, the part in your hand will fit 100% acording to the seller.

Maybe those doors are rare because they had one-piece windows....That would have been unusual "back in the day"....Funny that he didn't mention it.

He weighed the door and it is considerably heavier than a standard longbox door..... He just forgot to clean all of the beer tabs out of the bottom! Sharpie

Re: "RARE" longhorn edition door. CL find

The value on my truck just went up! My doors were thicker than factory too, but it was due to a nice coating of corn grindings from squirrels and or rats.

If this poor guy only knew all the snickering going on about his ad. LOL!!!!
I thought about calling the guy to inform him of his misunderstanding. BUT Alot of the rednecks in my area will take offence to people correcting them. SO laugh away guys.

I would buy it but I can't find anyone who sells the special thinner Longhorn door seals and I don't want my door to stick out.
