Re: 79 C10 seat ideas
Do a search on here as there is HUNDREDS of threads about it detailing pics and such. What you are wanting is probably a 60/40 front bench seat out of a late 90's GM truck. Some seats sit up higher than others such as the 99+ NBS trucks.
You can make just about ANY seat work if you want to fab.

Re: 79 C10 seat ideas
I've seats out of a 99 Town and Country van in my truck. The possibilities are endless. With a little fab work and time, anything is possible.

Re: 79 C10 seat ideas
I have a bench from a '94 silverado in my '78...i used the OG slider by cutting it down, and drilling a few holes in the '94 seat.

I know this is an old post, but was hoping someone knew what seat this is from? Is that a stock seat?

Those are not stock seats for the C10's. Maybe Blazer Buckets with custom reupholstery. They are sweet lookin'!!

Re: 79 C10 seat ideas
mine are aftermarket that got at a swap meet for less than $300 I have no Idea who makes them and they bolt right on to the factory seat tracks and had them covered in vinyl and they sit good, but that fabric that was on the seats faded from medium blue to light blue in a year

Re: 79 C10 seat ideas
A lot of those seats in the pics aren't in 73-87's They don't have the gas tank humps in the floor and would sit too high your '79.
I'm interested in this too, I think I'm going to buy one of those aftermarket setups. Probably a 40/20/40 seat, a different style, but like this Leather 40-20-40 Seat Install |

Re: 79 C10 seat ideas
I really like the early 90's Ford truck bench seats cuz they have foldable armrests in them, big and small. But I haven't seen or heard of anybody fitting one into a squarebody...

Re: 79 C10 seat ideas
I would go with blazer buckets and just build a seat for the middle and get it upholstered. I have an 83 bench seat at the shop if youd like me to measure it. These are my 1990 60/40 bench seats with 12" removed from the right seat to make buckets. (Cost $0)

Re: 79 C10 seat ideas
Sorry about that. I could had swore I replied to that. I thought you were saying I did t reply to another pm. Let me get home and measure and I'll let you know on the size. Also, let's figure out which seat you're gonna go with first and then I can give you a good price. The style of seat is gonna matter when it comes to pricing. And I'm in South Carolina.

Re: 79 C10 seat ideas
That actually doesnt look as complicated as it may sound, as long as you know someone with a cutting torch and welder But it looks nice, and gives me some good ideas for the future.
Oh and by the way...do you remember if those seats had the seat belt buckled built into them?
