Found a GMC tailgate in good shape - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

A guy I know just bought a 68 GMC. He wants to convert it to a Chevy and his tailgate is in really sweet shape. I went over it quick and found 3 minor dents in it. Here are the pics. The inside of the gate has its fair share of dings, but nothing bad at all. The guy used to have a camper topper on it.

Notice 1 of the dings is right above the handle. probably 1/2 hour repair. Another ding is between the G and the M and down on the bottom. You can barely notice it. None of the damage is in the grey part, so you wouldn't have to repair that body line. Damage is just in the orange. The other ding you can't see, but its to the left hand side of the GMC thing. I would say 4 hours max and the front side could be straight and in primer.

He is selling it. I think he would just buy a new aftermarket gate for it. But if you know of a really nice chevy gate I'll tell him. If you are interested in it just PM me an offer for it and I'll let him know.

Do you know what price range he is looking for? I've had my eye out for a good one with the large letters but for the right price...
