Pull A Part
I had a day off from work today so the wife and I decide to drive down below Atlanta and check out one of the Pull A Part locations as we had never been before .And yes my wife even enjoys junkyard runs .I didnt find anything on my list of needed parts for my own truck but I refused to leave empty handed. I found a white 71 Chevy longbed that had a few pieces left . I got a nice pair of light blue seat belts ,a white glovebox door, a rear view mirror ,a nice light blue pair of sun visors and clips ,a gas pedal assembly ,and various nuts and bolts .I did get my truck one item which was a windshield washer bottle and bracket .I was hoping to find a 72 driver door and passenger fender but they will eventually be found .Ive got a few more places to look .I think I could spend several days playing at Pull A part as there was so many interesting cars and trucks to be parted.I wanted to get the one ralley wheel that was on one truck as well as the brake rotors but it had some kind of funky locking lug nuts on it ,maybe another trip .

Re: Pull A Part
A hammer and cold chisel defeats locking lug nuts pretty quickly.

Re: Pull A Part
Hammer on a smaller socket and use a battery impact unless you have air out there in the junk yard lol
use a Minni sledge and a generic socket it may not be any good when your done

Re: Pull A Part
Didnt have a big enough socket with me ,nor a hammer .Will be better prepared next time as I didnt know how things worked there.I did have a guy that let me borrow some of his tools and even helped me get the seat belts out .It was a great adventure anyway and I know to take my lunch next time and stay all day .
