It looks that way to me, I do have a true 50th, it was the same colors, my dad sold it to my cousin while I was in Korea, I was in the military, it took 14 years to track it down. I will start a thread once I have my mom's car finished.

Nice truck. That looks like the saddle color not 50th color combo.
You might not want to use those front tires shown in the first tear-down pictures. I don't think they'd be very safe.

so you like my unsafe tires..i picked up the truck on a trailer,when i tryed to unload the truck i had to pump over 80 lbs of air in the front tires so they wouldnt hit the side rails of the trailer.the next day it was 100 degrees outside . i was at work.my next door neighbor called me and said something blew up at my house...i called home and my son said the f-----n tire blew up.he was in the garage.it scared the **** out of him....you think i should of took out the air ?

4 drop in front 6 drop in rear disc brakes all the way around posi rear end 2 in cowl hood 383 small block chevy -- 450 hp 400 trans front - 20-8.5 coys c-5'sw/5.5bs 255/40/20 tires rear -20-10 coys c-5's w/4.75bs 295/40/20 tires grey interior w/buckets & floor shift medium dark blue paint with some extra special sheet metal and bumpers

just came home from rotator cuff PT .thinking about putting in a 49-52 chevy gas tank.it is 27 1/2 wide by 19 1/2 & 7 1/2 inches deep ...will sit only 3 1/4 inches below the frame..oh ya it hold's 15 gallons of fuel..it should fit up in between the frame rails..with a little work..

wow thats an awsome idea you should have a filler tube that mounts in the cab at the factory hole and come down nto the tank just a suggestion

a 50th truck is on ly 1968 chevys it was the 50th year chevrolet made trucks 1918 - 1968 so they made these 50th annversiary trucks and they are to me the coolest 68 you can get

OH YA SNOW IS MELTING.will be able to start on the truck soon..i have to go pick up a posi rear end ,fenders and a different cab i bought.looks like im going to be cutting up and selling parts of the old cab...
