67 Seatbelts
I came across a 67 in a salvage yard with not much left to pick over and noticed the seatbelts. A lifting tab, aircraft style buckle? These look pretty cool. Tab was a kind of rough? peuter color with a bowtie in the center. Looked like they were in great condition along with the belts minus one (badly frayed). I have never seen this style before. Are these stock for the year? And should I go back and pick them up? One more.....can they be restored with new belts? Just wondering.....they'd look great in almost any great Chevy.

Re: 67 Seatbelts
notice they should be non retracting too. That was a deal breaker for me when I saw my first set... also in a wrecking yard.

Re: 67 Seatbelts
So the 67 didnt come with the recoiling belt mounted near the door? I'll get what I can just because. I'm gonna assume these are torques bolts or stars as some call them. Would you know the size so I can yank them out?

Re: 67 Seatbelts
Yes, they sell on ebay. Seen them sell for $100 in useable condition more redone. Believe they are the same as 67 Camaro belts also. There are places that reweb but can be expensive.

Re: 67 Seatbelts
The buckles alone are worth keeping. They are the same as some car belts and sought after.

Re: 67 Seatbelts
13/16" socket. Might want to take a breaker bar just in case. Drivers side can be a bugger if the tank is still in the truck. Sharpie

Re: 67 Seatbelts
Do your 67's have the aircraft lift to release type, or the later push button to release?

Re: 67 Seatbelts
My 67 didn't have any belts when I bought it. Ordered a pair of 3 pt retractables from LMC a couple of days ago. They were $90 a pair but the wife said seat belts.....now!

Re: 67 Seatbelts
well when your buildin a 67 and all the sudden a big huge sign that ''says just about every part on a 67 is different '' slaps you in the face then you either learn whats different or you have a heinz 57 !
