Back Seam between Cab/Roof: Seen or Filled
I am preparing to paint the cab roof of my 71'. There is a seam to the back of the roof panel. I am planning to seal it with seam sealer. Do I try to make the seam invisible or do I keep the line?

I would say leave it as is, but you could weld the seam and grind it smoothe also. Spot weld to avoid warping if you go that route.

originally the seam was visable. It is up to you as to what to do, and in my opinion it depends on what your truck is- if original resto, leave it as it was, if a shaved custom get rid of it.

It depends on what kind of sealer it is. If it gets hard it will crack. The previous owner of my White '67 filled the seam with body filler without welding it and it cracked and pieces started falling out. I just dug it all out and left the seam visible. LockDoc
