Slighly OT ...alternator rebuild kits

The alternator in my Jeep Comanche pickup went out today. The parts store wants $100. Screw that . Anyone know of a good source for alternator rebuild kits particularly diode trio sets ?

They jus carry late model GM stuff. No one knows of a source for alternator parts. I just need a diode pack. Not a $100 alternator.

The rebuild shops should have them and will probably sell you what you need. This is from my own experiences. Also, check NAPA, or an electronics supply house, or maybe Radio Shack, although my money isn't necessarily on the Shack.
