I don't think it's anyone's preference to have a saggy top

but unfortunately, I do. It's a double wall and other than the big bow in it and a couple small hair line cracks it's in decent shape.

Anyone ever fixed this, or is it not possible?

I don't know how ghetto or impropper this is, but I was thinking of drilling a hole and spraying some expanding foam into it to see if it brings it back up...is that an incredibly ridiculous/dangerous idea?

Sorry I cant help, but my tops bowed too. If you try that expanding foam post the results up here.

the expandable foam worked i had a 2wd blazer years ago with a double wall top and we put a stick in there as a brace and pushed against it. It helped alot i rather had to see where i drilled a few holes than a wavy roof.

Cool! I've read in places that this stuff is unsafe, but still used in body work, but usually not in a good way. I plan to smooth the top anyways, so the holes will get filled and hopefully invisible.

Is it bad to totally seal up the top with the foam inside?

I tried popping out the low spots on my top by putting a small brace in between the inner and outer shells but it would put pressure on the inner shell and bow it down, so for now I left it.

Let us know how the foam works.

1. Remove top.
2. Never put back on.
3. Problem solved

Haha...I've owned my blazer since July and pulled the top the moment it was in the driveway and hasn't been on since...just sucks not to be able to drive it in the winter. In my neighborhood, I'd look "super mexican" in a topless (which most think is chopped) primered "truck" especially now with the 22's...lol

I agree also, but with two tops laying around it was time to clean one up just in case

I've been curious about the foam also. Sounds like it does work. Should also help with sound deadening I would think.
