WTB: 292 Lift Brackets for pulling engine
Trying to track down a set of 292 brackets used for pulling the engine out of the truck. There are two total, one front and back. The PO pulled them off my engine. They may be the same for all 292's and possibly 250's as well, not sure. Please post some pics of what you have so I can see if they will fit.

I have a set off a 72 250, but Seadonkey has first chance at them because he asked about them in my engine FS thread. If he doesn't respond after 24 hours or doesn't want them. $25 shipped.

You're up. Heres some pics. They mount to the head and I'm pretty sure the 292s use the same heads as the 250s. Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: WTB: 292 Lift Brackets for pulling engine
Could you do me a favor and measure the distance between the two bolt holes on the forward bracket. Did the rear bracket mount underneath one of the head bolts that mounts the head to the block on your 250 or is there a tapped hole that it bolted to? Thanks

Re: WTB: 292 Lift Brackets for pulling engine
Distance between the holes is about 1 and 7/8" the rear mounted the a tapped hole on the top back of the head.
Seadonkey has contacted me saying he will take them. In a effort to be as fair as possible. I'll give you a day to respond, if not they go to him. |

I'm interested but I need to do some research and make sure the 250 brackets are the same as the 292
