gmc to chevy front conversion

does any body know the real difference between 72 gmc and 72 chevy front fenders, hood, and core support? If so that would be great because im looking at converting my gmc to the chevy front end because its alot cleaner looking grille.
Thanks

Re: gmc to chevy front conversion

the grille "shell" overlaps the front fenders on 69-72 chevys. there is a recess were it sits down the front edges of the fenders. gmc fenders do not have this. the core support has 4 "buckets" for the head lights. and the gmc hoods have the holes for the gmc emblems.

you'll need the whole front clip off a chevy. Fenders, core support, grill, hood (unless you can weld up the holes from the letters on your hood) and the front bumper.

The 71/72 Chevy bumper brackets are different, too (because of the turn signals in the bumper). Like Andy said, you need the whole clip. Inner fenders are all the same.

thanks Tim, I knew that but forgot to mention it (I learned the hard way).
Inner fenders and hood hinges is about all you can use off your rig.
