This is the bracket that attaches to the cab to support the center seat on a set of buddy buckets. It keeps the top of the seat from leaning back into the fuel lines on the gas tank (assuming you still have the tank in the cab). Here is a pic showing the mounting location (truck is a 67). I started to remove it before I thought to take a pic, so that is why it is kinda dangling there
