Re: C4 tranny
The C4 is the lighter of their 3 speed transmissions, teh C4 and C6 are similar to TH350 and TH400.

Re: C4 tranny
Well the reason that I ask is because I am looking at buy a pickup that has a c4 tranny and I just put a 355 with over 400 horse power in to my pickup and i was looking to use it. Do you think that it can handle that much or no?

Re: C4 tranny
Stock. probably not. But then again, the cost for the adapter to fit the ford slushbox to a small block and the cost to beef it up could be put to better use. For that cost you could build a correct th350 or 400 that will bolt in, hold up to the abuse and have money left over.
