rear end ID- help?
It was in a 1982 s10, 10 bolt cover, code on the large gear is GM 4030362 then has 13:40 stamped. It is 40 splines...is it a 3.08?

Should be a 3:08. 13 teeth on the pinion and 40 teeth on the ring gear.

As long as you aren't pushing a lot of power, it'll hold up. Decent highway gear, I prefer posi. And disc brakes. Assuming it's the right size, roll on it.

performer intake, 284 energizer cam, headers, 2200 stall- I think it is pretty mild
