Chevy OE wheels.....need help!!!!!
Hey guys,
Im looking for a 17 inch stock chevy OE rim. I know that tons of chevys had these but it looks like most are 15s or 16s. Does anyone know what chevy vehicle came stock with 17's. Im checking with wheelvintiques.com to see if they can help. Im thinking about running chrome ones if wheel antiques sell them but I want to find a stock steel one to see if will fit first. Thanks for any help. brian

To my best memory there isn't any GM vehicle with a 17" stock wheel, and yours is a S10 swap right. So they have to be 5 3/4, might be tough unless you do go with a aftermarket.

Re: Chevy OE wheels.....need help!!!!!
thanks for the info, im fine with 15s or 16 just thought about hunting down some "big" wheels. I know alot of the rear wheel drive chevy cars from the 70s and 80s used these wheels. Most of them had a 5 x 4.75 bolt pattern. Damn I wish the weather was nice, im ready to hit the junkyard!!!!!

4thgen fbodies had 17s... vettes had even larger wheels... but if you're looking for steel wheels, i dont know of any stock ones besides the spares. the newer cars had very large diameter spares to clear the brake calipers, but they were also the thin kind.. not fullsize spares.

Re: Chevy OE wheels.....need help!!!!!
Rdog try www.car-part.com you can search local as well as US I use it a lot to compare prices and Have used it to find out what wheels came on the S10 and such. I have bought 3 engines and a transmission in the last couple months by using it.
Joe PS BMW wheels have the same bolt pattern as an S10 I know there not chevy but....

If you're wanting to go chrome and you're dealing with wheel vintiques...Look at their series 64 wheels...they might be just what you're looking for...I'm pretty sure they offer them in 17"........whid

Re: Chevy OE wheels.....need help!!!!!
Rhdog you got me wondering about this so, since its 15deg out side and we have 8 inches of snow on the ground and I have plowed and shoveled all I care to plow and shovel ,I decided to look in to it.
If your using wheel spacers and use the 4.75(127mm) to 4.5(114.3) adapter you have a lot of options. Check out eBay 17x7 steel wheel BMW makes a 120mm 17x7 steel wheel option on the 98 up 3 series 325-328 it looks like they are hard to find. I have read of people running BMW wheels on Firebirds and Camaros, not sure of the S10 but they are the same pattern . I found a cool wheel bolt pattern cross reference so I guess the day wasn't a total bust. Man I hope it warms up soon I am sick of this crap http://www.roadkillcustoms.com/hot-r...udSpreadMM=120
