I found this thread and thought yah'll might find it usefull,http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/conver...de-1500-a.html. I know it says LS1 but that is what the writter of the article refers to the 4.8/5.3/6.0 vortec engines. This link talks about doing a 5.3 engine swap fo $1500. I plan on following this aproach with my 69 GMC.

There is LSx swap info here too. I don't think I'll make my swap for under $1500......$2K maybe.
