1972 Cheyenne Super option interior question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have been doing some research lately on 1972 Cheyenne Super interior parts. I have seen quite a few 72 Cheyenne optioned trucks with the deluxe door panels and no wood grain panel in the panel. Is this correct or did all Cheyenne Supers have the wood grain inserts period? Thanks Ryan.

As far as I know, the Super optioned trucks had them. I do not know about the "regular" Cheyenne though

Cheyennes & Supers, and Sierra's and Sierra Grande's had the woodgrain inserts. The only difference in the packages were that the Cheyenne Super & Grande's had woodgrain on the glove box doors. Also the seat fabric. Trevor

Have any of you seen Cheyenne Supers without the wood grain panels in the door panel then?

I have when someone has cloned one or took them off. They never came from the factory that way. Trevor

Mine don't, but who knows what a PO did to it somewhere along the way.

As of earlier today, this is what I had. As of now, they (or at least one of them) are black.

The Custom Deluxe Chevys and Super Custom GMCs had the deluxe door panels with no woodgrain. A Cheyenne,Cheyenne Super,Sierra,or Sierra grande has the same door panel with scroll under the woodgrain panel. I removed the woodgrain from my Sierra because that was the only woodgrain in my blue interior and I'd rather have my seat and door panels match.

I'm making mine a super clone and I'm going to leave the wood grain panels off of it for now. I like the scroll better, and those wood grain inserts are pricey.

I've deleted all the wood that mine had as well. To me, woodgrain just doesn't belong on this truck, at least not on a blue one.

I like the look of the glove box door and the gauge bezel, but the door ones just seem to be out of place. I'm sure I might change my mind when I find a good deal on some nice wood grain inserts for the door panels.

Do you know where I could find one of those?

Yes it will. I'll take my old bezel off that I have now and put it on the new cluster. I am still looking for a nicer wood grain bezel though.
