i think my ears just fell in love!!
yep. exhaust got a little TLC this weekend. the old flowmasters, were that..literally. they flowed exhaust everywhere but the out pipe. you could literally put, and hold your hand over the end of the pipe. i wanted a nice mean, loud sound, and i didnt want to pay the 150 ea, for flowmasters, so glasspacks it was.
im going to take the last bit of pipe off, and put on turn downs, just cause its cleaner, and my muffler is the lowest point right now, and i dont like it one bit. but heres a video of the first (cold) start with the new glass packs. dual 2 1/4" no cat. the video:if you scroll through, theres another video thats titled, "my truck is screwed" that will give you an idea of what it sounded like before. and dont worry, i was seafoaming it in that my truck is screwed video. its not like that normally. let me know what you guys think!!

Sounds great! I'm running glasspacks too but I haven't been able to hear it run yet.

Sounds good. I have a glasspack on my truck also. I tell ya these trucks, I think, sound best with the nostalgic sound of a glasspack.

Re: i think my ears just fell in love!!
I had a glass pack on a 305 i had in a 1990 Chevy and it was too quiet IMO. It sounded way better just straightpiped with the cat. So for my 1970 400 I think I'm just going to put in a x pipe and run each out right behind the doors straightpiped. Any thoughts?

Re: i think my ears just fell in love!!
I want a decent rumble but dont want to be to loud(my girlfriend doesnt like it and its hard to talk), the pipes i have right now have a small rumble and i want a little more and i dont like that they come out right in front of the tire, just dont look good IMO.
