Bed repair.

Hi everyone, have a question about the bed floor. Mine is very rusted out and was wondering what others have done to fix it. I know they sell replacement floors but don't want to spend $1000+ on it. I have looked at the wood conversion which is about $500. I have been thinking about using a 73-87 floor and converting it. The pattern seems to be the same I have a 77 to compare it to, but the mounting is different. I can get one of these boxes's for about 100-200 with a decent floor. Any other ideas? Thanks

Re: Bed repair.

I am converting to wood on my bed and I have a no rust steel bed that I will get rid of. Maybe somebody in your area is doing the same and you can get a good used steel bed.

Re: Bed repair.

I've decided to do the 73-87 bed too, just haven't gotten to it yet. Here is a link.

Anyone done it with a 88-98 bed? Those seem to be a dime a dozen around here.
