Re: coil over cross member with NEW spline sway bar
Here are some specs of our bolt in coil-over ifs for c-10 trucks.Keep in mind that are airbag version is differnt on the specs. This will also change on your tire dia as well.General specs and keep in mind all of our frontends are differnt in many ways.
1.The track we build these to is 62 1/2 2.Camber curve 1.750 this is at ride height to full compresed total suspension gets 6 inches of travel. 3.Bump steer 2 -2 1/2 degrees through travel of suspension 4.Scrub radius 2 1/16 at ride height 5.Roll center changes 1 13/16 this was all tested on a 28' tall tire. Re: coil over cross member with NEW spline sway bar
Cool... Sprint Car Inspired Sway bar. Have you done any load testing on the arms? Are you concerned about them bending or twisting axially under load due to the bend?

Re: coil over cross member with NEW spline sway bar
This sway bar is engineered and made by speedway engineering. They've been making this sway bar for many years with alot of success in the winston cup nascar serries with holding 200mph plus speeds. I think this sway bar will hold up to any thing your C-10 can throw at it!

Re: coil over cross member with NEW spline sway bar
So are you saying the arms on your set-up are heat treated steel arms like those used on the cup cars?
Only reason I ask is the bend bend lines on the arms in the photos you posted above don't look like heat treated steel based on the steel displacement at the bends? (Arms shown below are from Speedway International) Thanks, John |

and increased to just 1 3/4 degrees of caster at full compression. Roll center was tested at ride height to full compressed Toe goes out not in during bump steer |

to customers specs as well if somebody wants something differnt. For the handling on this frontend our customers who have this set up now our very happy with the ride quality. We are building a shop truck in the shop now that will be our truck to take out and abuse and we will have this at many shows this year where customers will be able to take it out and drive to see how it feels and handle.Maybe we will be able to meet up this year at a show we will give you the keys to go out and drive and you can be the judge on how it handles and then you can let us know.We are doing around 20 shows this years all around the country. |

Re: coil over cross member with NEW spline sway bar
To add to the sway-bar post here.Speedway eng has been making sway-bars for over
35 years and they have been proven over and over by many race teams and many and I would say all Companies who sell a spline bar by them from Speedway and the arms that are in question are made out of 3/4 thick 4130 steel cnc machined precision broached and timed.Hopefully this helps |

Re: coil over cross member with NEW spline sway bar
looks great, and look forward to seeing what all you guys are going to offer..really top notch guys
the only 'improvement' id do, is round the corners of the sway bar arms, at the links to the control arm..that make sence? |

Re: coil over cross member with NEW spline sway bar
so i got an idea.
what about making the sway bar mount to the LCA inboard of the coilover. Then the arms wouldn't have to be bent much at all. |

Re: coil over cross member with NEW spline sway bar
How do you heat treat them? Curious on the process.
Also never got an answer on roll center height on this kit. TIA Posted via Mobile Device
