230 or 250 cid
Is there anyway to tell if I have a 230 or 250 Cid in my 64 chev

hi if your engine is the one that came in the truck you have a 230 250 came out in the late 60's the casting # will also tell you. chris

I'm not positive on this, but wasn't the 230 the one with the head and intagke integrated together? I know with a 250 you can unbolt the intake/exhaust from the head and eventually from each other.

no that was the mid 70's 250 made in mexico. chris

64 should have a 230. Go to Inliners.org and you can check the casting numbers to be sure.
