Distributor swap
I have a 1968 GMC 4X4 with a possible 1965 305 V6 2bbl in it. I want to change over to an electronic Distributor. Is there an aftermarket MSD or such available? Thanks any help would be appreciated, its too cold to hang over a hood in North Pole Alaska to adjust point all the time.

MSD has a Ready-to-Run magneto distributor that I am getting ready to try. Mike C highly recommended it to me. It's not an HEI so it keeps a small cap, but it gets rid of the points. I don't know if you going to have difficulty finding a model for your V6.

Let me first welcome you to the board. Hopefully this link will help.
www.Pertronix.com They carry electronic ignition conversions for almost every application that uses your original distributor for the E.I. upgrade. These are very popular with automotive restorers and in most classic car show judging are even allowed with no reduction of points for non-originality. Even though you have a V-6 there is a good possibility that they carry the conversion for your application and are usually less than $100.00.
