Column shift linkage and moving the steering wheel
I haven't seen or found anything on the subject, but when you move the wheel closer to the dash, do you have to "stretch" the column shift linkage, especially since it's upper end moves toward the the front too? I am especially interested in the factory TH350 rod. Thanks in advance!

Re: Column shift linkage and moving the steering wheel
Just did mine Saturday and is by far the best thing I've done to my truck for comfort. Did not have to modify the linkage at all.

Re: Column shift linkage and moving the steering wheel
Mine is a long fleet that all the POs must have hated, there is so much shoddy, substandard work done. What I thought would be a 90 day 'quickie," has turned into an 18 month nightmare! I am just trying to be as good as the old truck deserves. One PO did a hack job of installing a TH350 and a POS floor cable shifter. I am putting an actual factory TH350 column in, so I had no idea about the linkage. I moved the wheel a year ago. Thanks for the input.

Re: Column shift linkage and moving the steering wheel
How do you move the steering wheel closer to the dash. I just purchased a 70 C10 and this sounds like something I would like to do. Thanks
